Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Kohima to Viswema
Drive to Viswema village — the southern trailhead for Dzukou — meet your trek guide and porters, and acclimatise with a short evening walk.
Day 2: Ascent to Dzukou Valley
Trek 8 km through bamboo groves and rhododendron forest, gaining 1,100 ft to the valley floor at 7,800 ft; set up camp beside the Dzukou stream.
Day 3: Valley Exploration
Full day exploring the valley ridgeline — Dzukou lily meadows, natural limestone caves, and the sweeping views toward the Japfü Peak range.
Day 4: Descent & Departure
Early descent back to Viswema, drive to Kohima for a celebratory Naga meal, then depart.
