Namdapha National Park in Arunachal Pradesh's Changlang district is India's third-largest national park and one of the richest biodiversity zones on earth, spanning from the subtropical Noa-Dehing River at 200 m to glacial peaks above 4,500 m within a single protected area. It is the only park in the world to shelter all four large cat species — tiger, leopard, clouded leopard, and snow leopard — along with red panda, hoolock gibbon, and over 1,000 plant species. The Lisu and Chakma communities living at its margins offer a glimpse into the human side of this ancient forest.
A glimpse of the landscapes you'll travel through.
Yes — Namdapha is in Arunachal Pradesh and requires an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Indian nationals and a Protected Area Permit (PAP) for foreign nationals. A separate forest entry permit is needed at the park gate. Our package handles everything.
Hoolock gibbons, hornbills, deer, and a wide variety of birds are reliably spotted. Large cats are present but rarely seen due to the dense forest. The experience here is about the forest ecosystem as a whole, not single-species sightings.
The nearest airport is Dibrugarh (DIB) in Assam, 150 km from Miao (the park gateway town). A long but scenic road transfer follows. Dibrugarh is connected to Kolkata, Delhi, and Guwahati. Our tours include all transfers from Dibrugarh.
