Day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1: Jorhat to Majuli by Ferry

   Drive to Neamati Ghat and take the public ferry across the mighty Brahmaputra — a 1-hour crossing through braided river channels and sandbanks — then cycle to your eco-stay.

2. Day 2: Satras & Mising Village

   Visit the 500-year-old Auniati and Kamalabari Vaishnavite satras (monasteries), watch monks create the island's famous papier-mâché masks at Samaguri Satra, and spend the night in a Mising stilt house above the floodplain.

3. Day 3: Sunrise Ride & Departure

   Early morning cycling along the embankment roads as egrets and storks lift off the wetlands, then return ferry and departure from Jorhat.
