Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ziro
Fly into Itanagar and drive to Ziro, arriving in the valley famous for its cool climate, pine forests, and the Apatani tribal homeland.
Day 2: Hong & Hija Village Walk
Walk through the traditional Apatani villages of Hong and Hija, observing the intricately planned paddy-cum-fish fields where rice and fish are cultivated together in the same terraced plots.
Day 3: Talley Valley
Day hike into Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, a pristine subtropical broadleaf forest with orchids, hornbills, and the Talley River cascading through undisturbed jungle.
Day 4: Local Kitchen & Departure
Morning in a local Apatani kitchen learning to prepare pika pila (preserved mustard leaf) and apong (rice beer), then depart for Itanagar or Naharlagun.
